John Upton is an engineering graduate with a PhD from Wageningen. John's research interests include milking management strategies to improve milking efficiency, and energy use in dairy production. John has experience of delivering high quality, high impact scientific outputs while ensuring that added value is delivered for industry stakeholders. John is co-lead on a targeted project aligned with Spoke 5 (Animal Health) with Brian McNamee where he is co-supervising a PhD student with Insight as well as supervising a technologist.
