In Walton Institute, Zawish’s PhD work is funded by the SFI Research Centre VistaMilk and focuses on Cooperative Edge Analytics for IoT devices in Smart Farming. Currently, he is exploring lightweight AI algorithms that can be used for dairy farming applications. For his winning poster presentation, Zawish detailed his work on energy efficient AI.

These insights will shape my future research in the field. Moreover, the program fostered valuable networking opportunities, allowing me to connect with fellow enthusiasts and experts, which has expanded my horizons. I attended the event with a travel grant from IEEE ComSoc, and it has been an invaluable experience that’s broadened my knowledge and enriched my perspective on communication technologies and AI.”
